Meet Nyx. If this pony doesn’t have all the wow factor a person could want, I don’t know what does. She is a 4-year-old 14h pony/percheron cross mare. She’s as pretty as a picture and has confirmation to die for. She may not be tall, but she has the stocky body that can carry any rider. Nyx is just one of those horses that is like when you put a quarter in at the supermarket, easy to ride, and you love her even more every ride. Some pony crosses are nice, but they’re small-framed and limited in who can ride them. Nyx is one that the whole family can enjoy. This horse has been ridden English and Western. She’s been fox hunting and was hill topping. She also drives! She is safe and quiet for any level of rider. She’ll take a joke, is very level-headed, and is 100% into work. This mare is well-rounded and has dabbled in a little bit of everything, whether it be lessons, shows, and trail riding, veterans programs, or therapy work; she is always happy and ready to work. She does jump and is extremely easy to take around a course.
Nyx is super sweet in your pocket and likes people and attention. Her ground manners are impeccable, and she’s a very easy keeper. She has excellent feet and no vices whatsoever. She currently has shoes on, but that’s just because of the rocky terrain at our location. She is soft in the mouth and doesn’t need a strong rider, heavy hands, or a strong bit; she rides great in a smooth snaffle. She is a very easygoing, go-with-the-flow type of horse. She has been hauled to shows and even the fair, where she was shown by a 6 and 8-year-old. This is a true all-around kind of horse that already turns heads wherever she goes. Traffic or farm equipment doesn’t bother her. She is a perfect trail partner; wherever you point her, she will go through creeks, ravines, and up and down hills, and she doesn’t care. If you’re not into riding, you can take her for a drive, hook her up once a year, or every day; she’s the same horse. Nyx requires no maintenance and is sound in every way. She has had a basic PPE done and passed with no issues. Nyx is located in Warsaw, NY.
